Cartoonists in Cahoots is a community driven website with a focus on animated works. The goal here is to create an environment where aspiring animators can showcase their work, receive and offer critiques and collaborate with others. The membership for the site is completely free and we encourage people with any type of background to join and contribute their talents. Here you can submit animated works, write reviews for other films on the site and discuss projects on our forum.
What's the difference between this site and others?
Places like YouTube and Newgrounds are great for showcasing your stuff. While Cartoonists in Cahoots has this feature, we are looking to make this site as constructive for its members as possible. We want everyone to feel welcomed here, meet some friends and colleagues and hopefully improve their works.
So, what exactly can this site offer me?
By becoming a member of this site (free of charge), you can submit your own movies to be showcased here, write reviews for other directors' movies featured on this site and discuss various topics on our forums. Basically this is a great place to get feedback, provide feedback, advertise your own services, find help for your movies and just have fun.
How do I submit movies?
First, you will need to register an account to submit content to Cartoonists in Cahoots. As of right now you can submit a video of yours that is currently on GoogleVideo, YouTube, Blip.tv, Dailymotion.com, Gametrailers.com, Jumpcut.com, Megavideo.com, Revver.com, Vimeo.com, zShare.net. Alternatively, we also accept .swf files. We feel a majority of our users will probably already have videos online through YouTube or other venues. And .swf files are popular with Flash animators. However, if there is a demand to upload other file formats to our gallery, we will consider expanding these guidelines. Voice your opinon in our fourm if this is a concern for you.
Are there any guidelines for submissions?
We want to showcase a wide range of skill sets, so we are trying to be as lenient as possible when it comes to submissions. However, there are a few guidelines. First and foremost, make sure you register an account. If you don't register, the submission options won't be available to you. Once you have an account you will have a user menu that allows you to submit movies, reviews, articles and links.
